TTEM - TRANSFORMATIONAL TOOLS ENERGY AND MIND
What is TTEM? TTEM
covers a variety of Transformational Tools and Energy Modalities such as
Qigong, Zhan Zhuang, Reiki, Healing,
Yoga, Meditation, Energy Psychotherapy, Mind and Psi, Diet and
Nutrition, amongst others as well as some Oriental/Experiential
Philosophies -
Buddhism, Taoism, Sufism, Vedanta, Shamanism. It is not aligned to any
one modality, tool or philosophy but celebrates diversity and respect
for all paths and all peoples. The Paradigm Shift
On the one hand an increasing amount of objective scientific research is verifying what many people have known and asserted over time:
"When discussing the reality of psi phenomena, especially from the scientific perspective, one question always hovers in
the background: You mean this is for real? In the midst of all the nonsense and excessive silliness proclaimed in the
name of psychic phenomena, the misinformed use of the term parapsychology by self-proclaimed "paranormal investigators,"
the perennial laughing stock of magicians and conjurers " this is for real?" The short answer is, Yes.
From a subjective perspective as more folks study formerly esoteric practices such as energy work and meditation,
the "normal", "everyday", "accepted" worldview of a Universe that is merely material is seen, felt and reliably
understood to be a mere subset. By accessing a broader perception via amended states of consciousness (the main one
being simply to quieten that "chatterbox in the head"!) one comes to know a richer picture of reality than that portrayed
in school science textbooks. It is also a more existentially meaningful one :-) The TTEM Forum
The purpose of TTEM is to facilitate this paradigm shift by gathering together in one place information and experiences
and providing a forum for discussion of such matters. It is for practitioners of Transformational Arts - the focus is
on direct experience and knowledge rather than (non-transformational) speculation. Whilst a number of
members have considerable expertise and experience in certain areas, we subscribe to the "peer group learning model" i.e.
we all know a lot more about a little than everyone else but everyone else together know far more about far more.
If you wish to browse, an editorial selection of some representative material is here.
The value of a network is exponentially related to the number of its members so we are always on the look out for new
contributors. You are probably unlikely to find much detailed info about your favourite modality here but you are likely
to find a load of stuff you didn't know about. If we all put in a little we all get out a lot :-) If you wish
to post then you need to join as a member and agree to the following House Rules:
1. No disrespect - of people or ideas!
2. Gullibility is dumb, scepticism is ok but open-mindedness
is better.
3. We do not believe there is only one truth for all people at
all times. No "one-club golfers" :-)

;
(a) that consciousness has properties well beyond
what can be described by a scientific-materialist
worldview
(b) that 'subtle' energy has real effects
On the other hand an increasing number of people are practicing tools and techniques which were formerly closed and
indeed mostly unknown to any others than adepts who had spent decades sweeping forecourts. To develop this new paradigm we need the "best of
both worlds" ... the rigour of disciplined investigation, objective reporting, independent corroboration ("science as method") with the
first person "existing IS the ultimate subjective perspective".
